This is the text of an Employment Law update originally presented by Peter Grant-Hutchison at Terra Firma Chambers' seminar in Ayr on Thursday 25th October 2012. The First half of this talk considers two recent English cases which examine the duties of senior employees to their employer in a situation where the relationship is drawing to an end. In the second half, Peter Grant-Hutchison casts a doubtful eye over the UK Government's proposed changes to employment law through the Enterprise and Regulatory Reform Bill.
