Roy Martin QC, of Terra Firm Chambers, has been appointed Queen's Counsel in England & Wales. The award of Queen's Counsel is judged by a special committee set up by the legal professions themselves, independently of government, and then approved by the Queen. The rank will be formally conferred at a ceremony in London in March.

Mr Martin called to the Scottish Bar in 1976 and took silk in Scotland in 1988. He is the former Dean of the Faculty of Advocates and is the Chairman of Terra Firma Chambers.
