Steven Walker of Terra Firma Chambers is chairing a major conference on energy related dispute resolution.  Oil and Gas Arbitration in Scotland in the 21st Century will be held on Tuesday 12th April 2011 at the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen and will be presented by the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (Northern Chapter) and the Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy (CEPMLP).

The conference will feature presentations by some of the leading practitioners in the industry in Scotland and Worldwide, and includes practical and interactive workshops.  The emphasis of the conference will be on the management and effective resolution of energy related disputes; why Arbitration in Scotland can best protect the interests of companies, in a cost effective manner; and with comparisons to other dispute resolution methods such as litigation and mediation.
