Terra Firma Chambers has announced its latest event in a busy autumn season of seminars which will be rounded off with a visit to Stirling on 15 December 2011. The Barcelo Stirling Highland Hotel will be the venue for a programme of talks by Terra Firma members followed by a drinks reception. This event further underlines the stable’s ongoing commitment to strengthening links with law firms and direct access organisations throughout Scotland.
The seminar will be chaired by Roddy Thomson QC and consists of four talks covering the following topics: Judicial Review of public authority decisions; Arbitration; case law developments in respect of arrestment and inhibition on the dependence; and rating liabilities for commercial landlords. There is no charge for attendance and the event has been accredited for two hours of CPD by the Faculty of Advocates.
Terra Firma Practice Manager Emma Potter said: “Our commitment to strengthening links with legal practices throughout Scotland and introducing ourselves to areas that we have not previously visited remains an integral part of our events programme. This seminar in Stirling will bring our collective expertise to a new audience and hopefully prove beneficial to both parties in the long term.”
