Terra Firma are delighted to announce the election of Gordon Reid QC and Ralph Smith QC as their new Chairman and Vice-Chairman respectively. Gordon and Ralph have succeed Roy Martin QC and Douglas Armstrong QC who led Terra Firma from its inception in 2008, during which the Chambers grew from its 30 founding members to its current strength of 47.
“Roy and Douglas provided tremendous leadership and invaluable support during their time as Chairman and Vice-Chairman. I join all members of TFC in thanking them for their hard work and dedication, which has been central in the formation and growth of the Chambers” said Practice Manager, Emma Potter.
Gordon Reid stated “I am honoured and delighted to be appointed Chairman of Terra Firma Chambers in succession to Roy Martin QC. I plan to continue and build upon his excellent work over the last four years. I look forward, as Head of Chambers, to promoting the interests of members, particularly in Terrra Firma’s core practice areas of Property, Planning, Public and Administrative law, and Arbitration. I also acknowledge the strong collegiate spirit of the Faculty of Advocates and shall use my best endeavours to promote the interests of the Faculty as a whole.”
