Terra Firma success in Perth
A second appeal against Perth and Kinross Council’s refusal to approve a waste to energy facility next door to Perth prison failed. The first appeal, determined on written representations only, had been rejected primarily on visual impact grounds but following a revised scheme a full inquiry was held. The Council, represented by James Findlay of Terra Firma, had its objections on grounds of noise, adverse impact on air quality and odour allied to the restricted nature of the site upheld by the Reporter.
