Terra Firma Chambers is delighted to announce that Julius Komorowski has joined the Stable with immediate effect.
Julius returns to full-time practice following the completion of a two year appointment as Law Clerk to Lord Gill, as Lord Justice-Clerk and then Lord President. Julius assisted Lord Gill with his judicial duties by carrying out legal research on cases being heard by him and drafting text for inclusion in Judicial Opinions. In this role Julius was exposed to the full breadth of the work of the Inner House, including commercial law, public procurement and employment law. During this time he gained a particular knowledge of agricultural law and valuation for rating.
Having called to the Bar in 2008, Julius developed a broad civil practice with particular emphasis on administrative law and employment. He intends to resume his practice in all areas of administrative law and is particularly interested in planning and valuation for rating, being fields in which he gained extensive experience while working for Lord Gill.
Julius returns to the Bar as a standing junior to the Advocate General.
Emma Potter, Practice Manager of Terra Firma Chambers, said “Julius' background and experience make him an ideal fit with Terra Firma, and our core areas of practice, and I am very pleased to welcome him to the Chambers.”
