Terra Firma Chambers provided sponsorship for a team of students from Aberdeen University to participate in the Oxford Intellectual Property Moot at the University of Oxford from Thursday 20th to Saturday 22nd March 2014. The Oxford IP Moot is an international competition consisting of both written and oral rounds with participation in the latter by invitation only, based upon two written submissions prepared by teams wishing to compete.  This is the first time in recent years that a team from Aberdeen has been invited.

The team’s written submissions were adjudged to be the best of any UK or European team, receiving joint third prize for Best Written Submissions, behind the University of Ottawa and the National University of Singapore.

Team member Lucas Clover Alcolea said: ‘We all had a fantastic time at Oxford and learnt a great deal about IP law, which would not have possible without Terra Firma's sponsorship and we would like to thank you for that.’
