Terra Firma Chambers’ Gordon Watt has been admitted as a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation having passed their professional examinations. The CIOT is the “gold standard” professional body in the UK concerned solely with direct and indirect taxation.

Gordon’s interest in tax began as a young solicitor with his involvement in the judicial review of a forward tax agreement (Fayed v Commissioners of HM Revenue 2004 SC 745).  He was recently instructed as junior counsel for the appellant in the first public procurement case to reach the Supreme Court (Healthcare at Home v Common Services Agency [2014] UKSC49, 2014 SLT 769).
