Peter Hammond, of Terra Firma Chambers, has been appointed a part-time Sheriff.
 
Peter called to the Bar in 1992, having previously been a solicitor in private practice. He is a graduate of the University of Dundee. Peter was a temporary Sheriff from 1998 to 1999 and a part-time chairman of the Rent Assessment Panel for Scotland from 1997 to 2003. He served as an Advocate Depute from 2004 to 2007.
