The appointment was made by Her Majesty The Queen on the recommendation of the First Minister following nomination by the Lord Justice General. This brings the number of Silks at Terra Firma to 17 and increases the strength and depth of Senior Counsel available within the stable.

Steven called to the Bar in 1999. Early in his career, he worked in the international arbitration group of Allen & Overy. Since then, Steven has developed an extensive international arbitration practice and now acts as lead counsel in multiple ad hoc and institutional international arbitrations conducted in many countries around the world and subject to a wide variety of governing substantive and procedural laws. Steven is based in South East Asia, works internationally and maintains a regular presence in energy disputes in South-East Asia, Europe, Africa and the Persian Gulf. Steven is ranked Band 1 of the leading Junior Counsel for Dispute Resolution: Arbitration - Singapore in the latest edition of Chambers & Partners Asia Pacific.

The new Queen’s Counsel will be introduced to the Court on Tuesday 27th September 2016.
