Terra Firma Chambers will be one of the sponsors of the forthcoming “Arbitration in Scotland” Conference to be held on 29th & 30th September 2017 at the Balmoral Hotel, Edinburgh.

This event will see the Faculty of Advocates’ Dispute Resolution Service (FDRS) re-launched as Faculty of Advocates Arbitration “Just Results” which will now include a new personal injury arbitration service.  The bespoke conference will consider the opportunities that exist both domestically and internationally in arbitration for Scottish practitioners and highlight the benefits of arbitration in Scotland, especially in the field of personal injury.

The Rt. Hon. Lord Hope of Craighead QC will provide the key note address on Saturday 29th September.  Fellow Terra Firma members Prof. David Parratt QC and William Frain-Bell, Advocate will be amongst the key speakers. Prof Parratt will be looking at the developments in Scotland to date as well as the exciting prospects for arbitration in the near future. William Frain-Bell will be introducing the new website of Faculty of Advocates Arbitration “Just Results” which incorporates all kinds of novel functionalities and which will be a rich resource for those interested in arbitrations or seeking to appoint arbitrators or counsel for an arbitration.
