Stephen Winter has been named UK Barrister of the Year for Immigration & Asylum Law in The Lawyer Monthly Legal Awards 2017. 

The Lawyer Monthly Legal Awards recognise the achievements of law firms, lawyers, barristers and those connected to the legal world with a proven track record in delivering results for their clients over the past twelve months. The awards are divided into individual and firm categories. Each category has been selected to represent the diversity of skills and knowledge that the profession has to offer clients across the globe.

Award winners were selected based on a ten-point criteria including number of vote nominations received; documented activity in the last 12 months when compared to peers; involvement in significant legal cases; legal expertise and innovation; and previous accolades and entries within the international legal guides.
