The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into force today.

Members of Terra Firma take their responsibilities under these regulations seriously. When you instruct a member of Terra Firma Chambers they will be the data controller in respect of information provided to and obtained by them in the course of those instructions.  Our members will abide by the Faculty Privacy Policy which sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, that you provide to us, or that we obtain about you from other sources, will be processed by us.  We should be obliged if you would direct your client’s express attention thereto, and advise if any concerns arise. Continued instructions thereafter will denote acceptance of that privacy policy. The same privacy policy can be taken as being adopted by any other member of Terra Firma Chambers whom you or your client may choose to instruct in the course of a case, unless you are expressly advised to the contrary.
