Terra Firma Chambers has again been recognised in the latest edition of Chambers & Partners UK Directory as one of the leading stables at the Scottish Bar, retaining its Band 1 rankings for Planning and Environmental Law, Agriculture & Rural Affairs and Tax.

Terra Firma remains the only stable at the Scottish Bar with a Band 1 ranking for Planning and Environmental Law.  Described as "the pre-eminent chambers for planning and related disciplines in Scotland" six members received individual rankings with Roy Martin QC acknowledged as "The most experienced planning QC in Scotland”.

For Agriculture & Rural Affairs, Terra Firma is described as ‘a leading stable in Scotland which possesses a number of advocates experienced in agriculture and rural affairs disputes’.  Robert Sutherland is “unquestionably recognised as one of the best."

In total, 16 members received 27 individual rankings for their expertise in Administrative & Public Law, Agriculture & Rural Affairs, Civil Liberties & Human Rights, Commercial Dispute Resolution, Company, Employment, Immigration, Licensing, Pensions, Planning & Environment, Product Liability, Real Estate Litigation, Restructuring/Insolvency and Tax. 

In addition, ‘Double Silk’ James Findlay QC is again ranked in a number of areas for his work at the English Bar while Steven Walker QC is ranked Band 1 for Dispute Resolution – Arbitration in Chambers & Partners Asia Pacific Guide (2018).
