Terra Firma Chambers will once again sponsor the Scottish Planning and Environmental Law (SPEL) Annual Conference which will be held on Thursday 19th September at the COSLA Conference Centre, Edinburgh.
This year’s conference will broadly focus on two principle themes - the approach to housing, land value and infrastructure delivery, and the implications of the community empowerment agenda. There will also be consideration of the Planning Bill as it moves into the final stages of the parliamentary processes.
The conference will be chaired by Terra Firma’s James Findlay QC with Graham Dunlop rounding off the morning session with Part 1 of a Planning Law Case Roundup. Part 2 will be presented by Stephen O’Rourke QC during the afternoon session which will also feature a panel discussion on the community empowerment agenda, chaired by fellow TFC member, Mark Lazarowicz.
Widely regarded as the foremost annual planning law event in Scotland, the SPEL Conference attracts key speakers and senior figures from a range of backgrounds and affords the opportunity to engage in high level discussion and debate.
