Licensing specialist Scott Blair heads to Stratford-upon-Avon this week to speak at the annual National Licensing Conference held by the Institute of Licensing. Scott will share a platform with the TV Vet Marc Abraham in discussing recent reforms to dog breeding law aimed at eradicating puppy farming throughout the UK. Marc was pivotal in securing Lucy’s Law, a ban on third party sales of puppies in England. That law has been heralded as the single most effective measure in tackling this abuse. Scott and Marc have been successful in securing a pledge from the Scottish Government in introducing a parallel reform in Scotland and at the Conference they will give an overview of the issues and what shape the Scottish reforms will take.

Scott said: “ I was delighted to be asked to attend this event and to speak on a subject I am passionate about. It will be a great opportunity to further the message that there will now be no part of the mainland United Kingdom where such practices will be tolerated.”
