Terra Firma Chambers and The Faculty of Advocates are monitoring UK and Scottish Government advice in respect of the rapidly evolving situation regarding the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus). In such an unprecedented situation it is difficult to predict the extent of the impact but Terra Firma is committed to maintaining our high level of service throughout this challenging period. Our priority for the duration of the outbreak is supporting the public health response so as to minimise and contain the virus’ spread.
In order to protect the health and well-being of our members, staff and instructing agents it is likely that greater social distancing measures will be required. Our staff and members are equipped to work remotely, with full access to electronic papers, legal databases, Members’ diaries and our secure systems. We will remain contactable via the usual telephone numbers and email addresses. All of our members have teleconferencing facilities via BT Meetme so consultations can be conducted remotely if required. There are also various videoconferencing platforms available that could perhaps be utilised if desirable.
Updates to our current working practices will be provided as they arise.
