Terra Firma Chambers are very pleased to announce that their Practice Manager Emma Philip and their Deputy Clerk Andrew Veitch have both been admitted as the first Scottish based members of the Institute of Barristers’ Clerks (IBC). 

The IBC is the professional organisation representing clerks and is based in London.  Founded in 1922 it provides education, support and advice for clerks.  Its principal object is the advancement and spreading of the knowledge required for the proper performance their duties by its members and the maintenance and improvement of standards amongst clerks.  Members can undertake the IBC’s Advanced Award in Chambers Administration, a unique professional competency qualification which has been designed specifically for chambers clerks.
