Terra Firma’s Robert Sutherland is undertaking three fundraising challenges between July 2021 and March 2022 to raise money for Children 1st, Scotland’s National Children’s Charity which provides essential support and help for abused and vulnerable children.
Robert completed the first event on Saturday 17th July - a 22 mile walk around Edinburgh's "7 Summits": The Castle, Corstorphine Hill, Craiglockart Hill, Braids Hill, Observatory Hill, Arthur's Seat, and Calton Hill. An impressive enough feat in any conditions, but even more so as it turned out to be one of the hottest days in Edinburgh this year.
The second event follows this coming weekend - a Highland Triple challenge near Fort William. Day 1 involves cycling along forest tracks and white water river canoeing. Day 2 is an ascent of Ben Nevis.
The third challenge is a return to Fort William for a winter ascent of Ben Nevis.
Donations to support Robert in his fundraising efforts can be made by visiting his Justgiving page: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/robert-sutherland3. The money raised will ensure that Children 1st can continue to be there for the thousands of children, young people and families that come to them in desperate need of help.
