Terra Firma Chambers Appoints New Stable Director

David Logan has stepped down as stable Director after almost nine years in the role.

David commenced a full-time position with Crown Office at the start of this year and while he will remain in practice at the Bar he has decided that the time is right to stand down as Director.  Alasdair Burnet KC has been appointed as the new stable Director and will commence the role with immediate effect.

David has been Terra Firma’s Director since 2014 and during that time he has worked tirelessly on behalf of stable members and the clerks plus Faculty membership more widely, particularly in respect of its pension provisions.  Everyone at TFC would like to take this opportunity to thank David for his dedication and commitment during what has been a very challenging and unprecedented period.

Practice Manager, Emma Potter-Caskie said: “On behalf of the Management Committee and the Clerks, I would like to offer David our sincere thanks for the invaluable contribution he has made to the stable as Director over such a lengthy period.  I now look forward to working alongside Alasdair to promote the stable ethos and commitment to excellence that we have established at TFC over the past 15 years”

Terra Firma Chairman, Michael Howlin KC, said: “David has done stalwart work for Terra Firma during his years as Stable Director.  I am extremely grateful to him for all the time, effort and enthusiasm he has invested in that role and I wish him well in his new position at the Crown Office, where I know he will do well.  My sincere thanks and best wishes also go to Alasdair for agreeing to take over from David.  Once again, the interests of Terra Firma will be in good hands.”
