Terra Firma Chambers is delighted to announce that Roddy Macleod has been appointed as Second Standing Junior Counsel to the Advocate General for Scotland.

Roddy was originally appointed as a Standing Junior in 2018 and was reappointed in 2021.  This appointment is for a period of four years and will see Roddy work alongside Graham Maciver who continues as First Standing Junior.

Roddy is an experienced litigator who specialises in succession, executry and commissary cases.   He is consistently ranked as a leading / Band 1 Junior for Private Client work in Chambers and Partners UK and the Legal 500, and is the author of Contentious Executries: Commissary and Executry Litigation in Scotland, W Green, 2022.

"As a standing junior counsel for the last 6 years, I have been involved in many interesting cases on behalf of the Advocate General, including appearing in the Supreme Court.  I am delighted to have been reappointed and to be appointed as second standing junior.  In that role I look forward to developing relationships between instructing solicitors and the cohort of standing junior counsel."
