Biography
Ewen was a solicitor in private practice for over 20 years and was head of dispute resolution at McClure Naismith before becoming head of disputes at Morisons.
He has experience of acting for a wide variety of clients in a number of areas including banking, insolvency, contract, company, partnership, product liability, professional negligence, professional regulation, sale of goods, succession and trusts.
He has a particular interest in real estate litigation and while he was a solicitor, he successfully acted for the landlord in @SIPP Pension Trustees Limited v Insight Travel Services Limited 2016 S.C. 243.
Since calling to the Bar Ewen has developed a strong commercial practice with a particular interest in commercial property and leasing disputes. He regulalrly appears in the Court of Session, Sheriff Court and at Inquiry and has significant experience of arbitration and mediation.
