Terra Firma Chambers is hosting the latest in a series of seminars entitled ‘Beyond the Court of Session’ in Inverness on Thursday 26th March 2015.
This event will consider the changing legal landscape in light of forthcoming court reforms. Alasdair Sutherland will present a paper ‘Resolving Disputes in the Wake of Reform: In Court, Out of Court - and at what cost?’, and Denis Garrity will provide an update on substantive property law, relative to recent developments in contract law and commercial leases. This seminar also offers a forum for discussion and debate and delegates are encouraged to raise topics of interest in advance by emailing emma.potter@terrafirmachambers.com.
The seminar, sponsored by Wesleyan, will be held at the Glenmoriston Hotel, 20 Ness Bank with registration commencing at 4pm. The seminar itself will start at 4.30pm and will be followed by a drinks reception at 6pm. It has been accredited by the Faculty of Advocates as contributing 1.5 hours CPD each for its own members and is eligible for a similar award from the Law Society for the solicitor branch of the profession.
There is no charge for attending however prior booking is necessary as interest is expected to be high. We have already hosted successful events in Ayr, Dundee and Aberdeen with further events planned Oban and Glasgow.
