The Conference has been accredited by the Faculty of Advocates as contributing 6.5 hours of CPD (Sessions 1, 2, 4, 5, and 8) for its own members and is eligible for a similar award from the Law Society of Scotland for the solicitor branch of the profession. The Bar Association of Queensland was established in 1903 as the professional body representing the interests of the members of the Bar in practice in Queensland. Whilst the scope and functions of the Association have broadened since its establishment, its principle concern remains the promotion of the cause of justice and maintenance of the standards of the Bar. Environmental Law Enforcement Conference
The Bar Association of Queensland in association with Terra Firma Chambers will hold its 2013 Environmental Law Enforcement Conference from Wednesday 26 June to Sunday 30 June at St Leonards Hall, University of Edinburgh. The theme of the conference is “Winning Resources Sustainably”, focusing on the enforcement history of the North Sea oil and gas fields.
