The Trusts, Fiduciaries and Executries Bar Group (TrustBar) are privileged and delighted to host a talk by the Rt. Hon. Lord Hamilton on ‘Directors and Conflicts of Interest” at The Reading Room, Advocates’ Library, Parliament House, Edinburgh on Thursday 24th October 2013 at 5. 15 p.m

Lord Hamilton's talk will cover the statutory code for directors’ duties and the important Commonwealth Oil & Gas case dealing with a director’s duty of loyalty to his company and the avoidance of conflict with personal interest, in which Lord Hamilton participated. It is also intended to cover prior and subsequent case law on director’s duties and lessons for other non-director fiduciaries such as partners, trustees and executors. There may be an opportunity for questions.
