The Edinburgh Tax Network, in conjunction with Terra Firma Chambers, will be presenting a seminar on Thursday 28th November 2013 at the Mackenzie Building, Old Assembly Close, Edinburgh. At this event, Andy Finch, of HMRC Specialist Investigations, will speak on ‘Personal Tax Avoidance by Contractors’ Loan Schemes’ and Terra Firma’s Derek Francis will present a paper entitled ‘Discovery Assessments: Skirmish or Battleground?’. Registration will commence at 12.30pm. The seminar will start at 1pm and has been accredited by the Faculty of Advocates as contributing 1 hour CPD for its own members and is eligible for a similar award from the Law Society for the solicitor branch of the profession.
